There are a lot of vaccinations planned in the spring

The government’s plan states that everyone over the age of 18, as well as children and youth in groups at medical risk, should get vaccinations before June 30. So far, 585,843 people have been reported to be vaccinated. This is what the first vaccine delivery to Sweden looks like now (Public Health Agency, February 19, 2021).

Pfizer / Bioetec

Pfizer currently has an agreement with the European Union for 500 million vaccine doses. Pfizer intends to deliver 75 million doses to the European Union between April and June. Here’s how much Sweden gets:

March 2021: 656,000

April 2021: 1,618,000

May 2021: 1,618,000

Jun 2021: 1,618,000

AstraZeneca

Astra Zeneca has an agreement with the European Union for 400 million doses. Here’s how much Sweden gets:

March 2021: 578,000

April 2021: 1073,000

May 2021: 830,000

June 2021: 830 thousand

Modern

310 million doses will be delivered to the European Union from Moderna in 2021. This is the number that Sweden will receive:

March 2021: 192000

April 2021: 291,000

May 2021: 291,000

June 2021: 291,000

Vaccines that have not yet been approved are also included in the Swedish Public Health Agency’s vaccine plans. Vaccine company Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) filed for approval this week. Curevac expects to approve sometime between April and June.

April 2021: 458,000

May 2021: 458,000

June 2021: 458,000

Johnson & Johnson (Janssen)

April 2021: 458,000

May 2021: 458,000

June 2021: 458,000

The vaccine company Novavax also expects approval within the next few days. However, these numbers are not included in the vaccine plan that the Swedish Public Health Agency refers to at this time.
