Several cases of the mutated virus variant exist in regions of the country

The SVT survey shows that 14 of 21 regions reported cases of mutant virus variants that were originally detected in the United Kingdom and South Africa the vast majority of cases were in the Stockholm region.

The Public Health Agency said at the press conference on Tuesday that a total of 95 cases of mutated virus variants had been reported in the country.

How many cases do exist are difficult to answer. Only a small percentage of all tests are analyzed for mutating viruses.

Areas with confirmed cases of mutated virus variants

Blking: There are no confirmed cases

Jönköping: There are no confirmed cases

Kronoberg: Case. It cannot be connected to travel.

Scania: Five Falls. Two can be connected to travel.

Dalarna: There are no confirmed cases.

Gotland: There are no confirmed cases.

Jaffleborg: Six issues. Cases have been linked to travel.

Haaland: three cases. Cases can be linked to travel.

Jämtland / Härjedalen: There are no confirmed cases.

Kalmar: a case. The issue can be linked to travel.

Norbotten: Case. The case was travel related.

Stockholm: 46 cases, one of them from South Africa. All but four cases can be linked to travel.

Surmland: two cases. At least one case can be linked to travel.

Uppsala: four cases, without travel contact.

Värmland: There are no confirmed cases.

Västerbotten: two cases. The two cases can be linked to travel.

Västernorrland: case. It can be connected to travel.

Fastmanland: There are no confirmed cases.

Orebro: Five cases. It can be connected to travel.

Ostriotland: two cases, no travel contact.

Västra Götalandsregionen: seven cases. All but one of them have known travel links.

Total: 82 cases.

A number of cases are missing from the list where regions have not yet updated their numbers. The SVT Tour took place on Monday 25 January and Tuesday 26 January.
