Stockholm – November 16, 2020 Samsung today presents the global launch of new screens – the Smart Monitor M7 and M5. The screens are equipped with functions for work, learning and entertainment and can be used in most areas.

The Smart Monitor series is designed to meet the demands and needs of today’s consumers, who spend more time at home than before. The screen contains mobile and computer connectivity, remote communication, educational functions, Smart Hub, and a continuous entertainment platform similar to the Samsung Smart TV platform.

Work, leisure and education over the past year have become increasingly concentrated at home, and this new lifestyle means that many are spending more and more time on digital activities. Our new smart screen is in response to this demand. With the smart screen, you no longer have to choose between monitors because they can be used in a variety of areas, says John Bonsu Linden, Nordic product and group manager for displays at Samsung.

Smart Monitor has several connectivity options for both computers and smartphones. Users can easily connect their mobile devices to Tap View[1], Or use App-casting or Apple AirPlay 2. For a complete desktop experience, users can also connect through Samsung DeX via a mobile device.

The monitor can also run Microsoft 365 software[2] Without a connection to a computer thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi technology. This enables users to view, correct, and save documents to the cloud directly from the screen. Remote screen connection also allows users to wirelessly access files on the screen, no matter where they are. Both screens are equipped with most of the USB and Bluetooth 4.2 ports and built-in speakers. The M7 also includes a USB-C port that enables multiple different connections with a single connection.

The content can be accessed easily via the button screen control for specific streaming services. The screen can also be controlled by voice thanks to Bixby.

The screen and its technologies are designed to make viewing comfortable. Light and color are automatically adjusted according to the surrounding environment using the Adaptive Picture function. The eye protection feature helps reduce blue light.

The screen is available in two models from launch. The M5 model features a 27-inch or 32-inch FHD resolution and the M7 features a 32-inch UHD resolution.

The displays will be available in the US, Canada, and China beginning November 16, and in the Nordic countries beginning in 2021. For more information on Smart Monitor and Samsung products, visit samsung.com
