Russian warning: “Stay out.”

Stay away from the Crimea. That was the message from Russia when, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, American warships approached the peninsula in the Black Sea.

Russian news agencies reported that Russia considered the presence a provocation.

According to Russian news agencies, Sergey Ryabkov said that American warships in the Black Sea should move away from each other – otherwise the risk of unspecified accidents is high.

Currently, Russian forces are reinforcing near the eastern borders of Ukraine and in the Crimea, which worries several countries in the west.

Bloody struggle

In 2014, Moscow annexed the Crimea peninsula from Ukraine. Since then, fighting between government and Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine has claimed the lives of up to 14,000 people, according to reports. Reuters.

There is absolutely no reason for the presence of American ships near our shores, this is a pure provocation. Provocative in the direct sense of the word: they test our strength and play on our nerves. The deputy foreign minister said they would not succeed.

The Pentagon does not want to comment on ship deployment and only announces that the US military routinely sends ships to the area.
