Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has commissioned a second season of their hit production “Partisan” from Viaplay Original, which won the prestigious Best Series award at Canneseries 2020. Amir Shamdin (“If God Wants”) returns to direct the new season, which collects once Other some of the leading Swedish actors. Co-produced with Warner Bros. International TV production (NENT Group’s ‘Love Me’), the second season of ‘Partisan’ will premiere exclusively on NENT Viaplay’s live streaming service in 2022.
The series’ triumph at Cannes in the fall of 2020, combined with record viewing figures on Viaplay, cemented “Partisan” as one of the Nordic’s most successful series in recent years. The second five-episode season continues the gritty and unpleasant story of the rural portal community Down to Earth, and will offer more of the outstanding visual style, dramatic suspense, and strong themes from Season 1.
