Behind the scenes on Netflix “The Sandman” | Filmzine

The much-anticipated series will soon be released on Netflix.

During the seasoned Netflix week called Geeked Week on Youtube, we got to go behind the scenes of the streaming service’s TV series “sandman”, based on the comic book of the same name written by Neil Gaiman.

In the clip, author Neil Gaiman says the TV series is meant to appeal to comic book magazine fans, at the same time as a fresh and special interpretation of the classic.

A live-action interpretation of DC Comics’ “The Sandman” has been in development for a long time, but has run into problems with retired screenwriters and the like. Previously, the movie was being produced and directed by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who will likely also play the lead role.

Now Tom Sturridge, Gwendolyn Kristen, and Charles Dance can be seen in the cast. “The Sandman” will premiere sometime towards the end of 2021.

Published between 1988 and 1998, The Sandman is about Dream, Morpheus, or Sandman who rules the world of dreams. The series begins with Dream being portrayed for 70 years by a group of astrologers. When he manages to escape, he notices that his kingdom is in ruins, which it becomes his job to correct.
